Streptocarpus might just be my favourite of our new plants this year.  It will make a fantastic focal point for shady containers, AND it can be brought inside as a flowering houseplant!  Growing Streptocarpus  is very similar to growing African Violets; both do not like to be overwatered, and are somewhat sensitive to having water on their leaves.  Streptocarpus leaves can also burn if subjected to bright, hot sunlight
