Roses are a beauty in any garden, they can sometimes be a bit picky. Roses prefer specific environmental conditions and require attention.

8+ hours of sunlight: Roses love sunlight: Not enough sunlight can lead to a leggy and strectched shrub

Fungal treatments: Roses are very susceptible to mildew and other types of fungus. Treating them with fungicide early will help reduce the chances of it occurring. Also, keeping other plants spaced away from a rose will help with airflow and reduce the risk fungus.

Water before 11am: This allows for the rose to dry during the hot hours of the day, reducing fungal issues.

Fertilize: using specifically formulated rose fertilizer and feed after every deadheading OR once a week.

Pruning: Prune only for shape. Minimize any cutting back as this can weaken the plant.
