Gravel
Decorative stone is an attractive feature in your landscape, it’s a solution to help retain soil mosture, prevent soil erosion, limit weed growth, and enhance drainage. Stones do not rot, harbour weed seeds or attract insects so can be lower maintenance than garden soil alone. Weed seeds can still germinate and grow in gravel, so a stone area is not a no-maintenance solution.
